Adventure Sailing & RYA Courses
Nonstop Sail is based in Dartmouth and offers adventure sailing trips and "gap year" opportunities as well as a full range of short yachting courses. They provide RYA practical and shore based certificates as well as Mile Builder, Revision and Experience courses.
If you want more than just a sailing course, Nonstop Sail offers also Adventure Sailing in the Caribbean, Atlantic and around Britain. The Yachtmaster Fast Track programme provides a six-week voyage and allows to gain RYA qualifications. You can join even if you're just looking for a lifetime adventure but a minimum of Competent Crew level of ability is required. It can be achieved with Nonstop in Dartmouth.
Between June and September Adventure Sailing trips around Britain are being organized. You can join a six or a two-week sailing voyage. During the trip you'll have an environmentally friendly and carbon emission free adventure.
Are you dreaming of exploring the stunning scenery of the Irish coastline? Nonstop Sail organizes a four-week "Around Ireland" trip during which you'll explore nooks and crannies along the Irish coastline.
If you're looking for more adrenaline, take part in the Transatlantic Crossing. You'll sail through the open ocean with a group of like-minded sailors. Theer are numerous fantastic opportunities on the board, among others, whale watching, deep sea fishing and star-gazing. These trips are ideal for those requiring Ocean Yachtmaster qualifying passage or for aspiring Offshore Yachmasters, or for anyone wanting an adventure.
With Nonstop Sail you can also take part in the Fastnet Race where you'll compete with the great names of the yachting world. The Fastnet Campaign enables you to train and compete with a yacht racing team and experience one of the greatest races in the world. To enter the competition you'll have to complete 300 miles of RORC offshore racing. You will need to set aside four weekends in addition to the Fastnet Race, so that you can take part in three qualifying races and a training weekend in Dartmouth.
You can become part of a racing team at Dartmouth Royal Regatta which is the second largest in the country. You'll be accompanied by a fully qualified RYA Skipper, you'll have a pre-race training to perfect your skills, five days of racing and knowledge of local waters.
Would you like to go for a sail in the Caribbean? Sunshine, clear water, perfect winds - all this can be met on the Caribbean Circuit organized by Nonstop Sail. You can choose a six or a three-week trip. It's a great alternative for both experienced sailors and beginners.
Another memorable experience is a two-week sailing adventure to Gran Canaria. You'll visit Lisbon before sailing to Algarve and Gibraltar on the way back. It's a fantastic area for observing dolphins and whales. Finally you'll explore southern Spain or Gran Canaria, depending on time. During the trip, except new sailing experience, you'll also get RYA qualifications.
If you're a wine fan, you can sail the Gironde River for a weeks wine testing in Bordeaux. After tasting numerous cask samples you'll have a chance to enjoy the Gironde cuisine in the local restaurants with mature bottles of Bordeaux wine.
