The Sailing Experience of a Lifetime

Plain Sailing offers RYA Training courses in sail, motor and power and plus the one day RYA courses. If you want to improve your sailing skills to a level recognised by the Royal Yachting Assocaition, Plain Sailing is the place to go. They run training and sailing all year round, from beginners up to Yachtmaster Ocean and Cruises in UK & foreign waters. You can attend following courses:

- RYA Start Sailing is a two-days course providing a short introducton to sail cruising. By the end of the course you'll have expereinced steering a yacht, hand steering, ropework and you'll be aware of safety on board.

- RYA Competent Crew-Sail is a five-day course. It introduces the beginner to cruising and teaches personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to the level required to be a useful member of the crew of a cruising yacht.

- RYA Day Skipper Sail is another five-day course. It will show you how to take command of your vessel for a short passage in daylight hours. You'll learn how to plan the trip, brief the crew, handle a boat, navigate and other skills.

- RYA 9 Day Skipper Combined: Navigation & Practical On Sail is a comprehensive introduction to cart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship for Competent Crew. You'll find this course especially usefully if you want to start to make decisions on board.
