It's a very popular family beach set beneath tall red cliffs. Jacob’s Ladder beach, so called because of the wooden staircase that leads down to the beach, is approximately 1 mile long and is set in a beautiful sheltered bay. It consists mainly of pebbles. The pebbles are actually protected by law and it is an offence to remove them! When the tide is out there are plenty of rock pools to play in.
