Nick Thorn/Hunter Surf Academy and Surf Hire are situated in Woolacombe, North Devon. The school is focused on quality, safety and fun. It also has a UK lifeguard training centre and teaches Surf Instructor training to BSA Level 1. The school offers lessons to surfers of all abilities and ages.

The Academy offers NaRS Lifesaving & Surf Instructor Joint Course. It's a six-day course: five days of training and one full day of examination. Afterwards you get an international qualification, valid for three years.

If you want to get NARS Surf Coach qualifications, Nick Thorn's school is the place to go. The NARS Surf Coach is the prerequisite qualification for working as a surf coach / instructor and covers the various lifesaving skills and techniques necessary to operate a safe surfing lesson.
