Timecode from The Royal Ballet

March 16, 2007, 10:59 am

Time code is a family event designed to introduce children (over the age of seven) to ballet through the form of a theatrical encounter.

There is a small show, performed by four Royal Ballet dancers, an actor and four musicians. The show explores the concept of time: Why is time so precious? What does time mean to use? Before the 45 minute performance is a family workshop where children can get involved and explore some of the performance ideas through dance. This will then be followed by a question and answer session where you can talk to the performers and ask them anything you would like to know about ballet and the life of a ballet dancer.

Timecode takes place on Saturday 24th March at Dartington Hall, Studio 31. Performances start at 12pm and 3.30pm with workshops before each performance. The cost for the performance is £7.50 for adults and £5 for children. The workshop costs £3. All tickets are available from the Dartington box office on 01803 847070.
