1,220 PARKING SPACES … FOR BICYCLES!

A whopping 1,220 cycle parking spaces are included in the plans for the new Skypark office and industrial development beside Exeter Airport - despite warnings that many are likely to remain empty as workers refuse to leave their cars at home.The business park scheme alongside Exeter Airport is recommended for approval by planners next week, even though estimates of how many employees will walk and cycle to work have been branded unrealistic.

Wellie walk at Decoy Country Park

On the 12th April, rangers from Decoy Country Park in Newton Abbot are going to be leading a 1 mile walk to the wettest and boggiest parts of Decoy Country Park. The walk is expected to take about two hours and starts at 2pm from the ranger’s office. Families are encouraged to wear wellies or wet feet will be the result! Anyone is welcome to attend but pushchairs and wheelchairs may find the route difficult and the rangers are also asking people to leave their dogs at home.
