Coming to the Devon skies in 2007

An exciting new event for Exmouth - Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June 2007

The inaugural Kite Festival will be held at the Exmouth Imperial Recreation Ground on the Exe Estuary, near the rail and bus terminals. Ample parking is available locally.

The festival will be open between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

A FREE event for the entire family!

Exmouth Rotary Club and world leading kite flyers have teamed up to bring an extraordinary weekend of:
Exhibition kite flying
Stunning synchrinised kite acrobatics
Kite buggy displays
Exhilarating “power kite” displays
Kite surfing
Fly your own kites all weekend

Come and join the experts!

Come and fly your kite. Haven’t got one? Not a problem - our weekend includes:
KIte making and decorating
Children’s kite workshop
Flying instructions
Kite sales (from beginner kites to those used by professionals)

Not just kites but a day for the whole family!
Licensed bar
Food stalls
Hog Roast
Craft and book stalls
Games and competitions
Children’s rides
And much much more

Make A Kite/Kids Kite Workshop
A great opportunity for kids from 6 to 60 to make a mess in our tent rather than your home!

Come and make a kite, decorate it then fly it! And there is a range of other activities to keep the kids happy!

We will be running a number of competitions for children including:
Best decorated kite
Funniest decoration
Best “eco-friendly” kite
Best traditional design

Get ahead of the game! On Saturday 26th May during the Exmouth Town Festival we will have a kite workshop at the Manor Gardens from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. We’d love to see you there!

If you don’t want to make your own kite beforehand, there’ll be ready-to-build kite kit stalls at the festival.

World Record Attempt - We Needf Your Hepl!
On Sunday we will be attempting to set a new world record for the most kites flying in the same time. Bring a kite, make a kite, fly a kite!
(The world record attempt will be dependant on weather conditions)
