A creative tour of North Devon

June 8, 2007, 10:03 am

If you fancy a creative tour of North Devon there are just a few weeks left to book for an exclusive opportunity to visit Devon’s renowned artists in their own studios.

The Art Hopper Tours will be led by Dion Sears who will take you to some of the most inspiring places to live and work in England.

On 22nd June tour Dion will be visiting Colin Allbrook’s studio. Colin is currently showing his Two Rivers exhibition at RHS Garden Rosemoor until June 10.

For the past eighteen years Colin has lived by the river Taw at Umberleigh in North Devon and painted in his studio there using watercolour, pastel and oil. He has won many awards for his work and exhibits in London with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Pastel Society and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.

So why not visit his exhibition and then come and meet the artist and see where his work is created?

On each tour art hoppers can expect to meet six artists in their own studio: ceramic sculptors, painters, wood craftsmen, stained glass artists, textile designers, printmakers and photographers. They will have the opportunity to buy straight from the maker and gain a full appreciation of the creative process. It will be a small friendly group so come along to meet like-minded people or bring your whole family for a relaxed day out.
