Fete Attractions in Devon
July 3, 2007, 11:42 am
Despite the dreadful weather last year, the Nymet St George Fete was a great success with nearly £1,500 raised for Devon Air Ambulance, of which £107, including £30 sponsorship from Mole Valley Farmers, was from the family dog show.
This year the fete will be held again at The Castle Inn, George Nympton, on Saturday July 28 from 2pm. It will be raising money for Devon Air Ambulance and the Parish Hall. The family dog show starts at 3pm with registration from 2pm. Classes will include dog with waggiest tail, and dog that looks most like its owner!
Visitors will be able to purchase gifts, books, clothes, plants, homemade jams and chutneys, and bric a brac including jewellery and ornaments.
There will be a pig roast, and children will enjoy having their faces painted and playing all the games including Bash the Rat and Treasure Island. A great family day out.
