IT’S time to get snappy if you want to enter North Devon’s annual photographic competition.
Lensmen and women are now invited to submit their entries for the popular annual Heritage Photographic Competition, held at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.
The event, hosted by the North Devon District Council-run museum, is open to anyone. The only criteria are that the photos must be recent and have been shot in North Devon or Exmoor.
Pictures must be received by October 15 in these categories:
l Towns & villages
l The coast and the sea
l Characters
l Landscape
l Wildlife
l Anything goes!
This year’s judge will be professional local photographer Paul Milsom, who is a regular contributor to photographic magazines and judge for local camera clubs. He is currently working on a book highlighting the landscapes along the South West Coastal Path and works as a photography teacher at North Devon and Bideford Colleges.
Medals will be awarded to the entrants judged best in each category and certificates awarded for other top submissions. An exhibition of entries will be at the Museum, November 10 to January 12.
