Rolle Award For Soap Star

Eastenders soap star Pat Butcher will receive an honorary award at Rolle College’s final graduation ceremony.

Actress Pam St Clement - who trained as a teacher in Exmouth before her Eastenders career took off - will be presented with the award as students graduate at the ceremony on Friday, July 18.

Later, Rolle staff and students as well as faces from the past will gather at the campus for a send-off party to mark the final year of teacher training in the town.

Music and speeches will lead to a grand firework display. Earlier in the evening, a time capsule, bearing the college’s classic black and purple scarf, photographs and memorabilia, will be buried in the Student Union grounds.
